Get Six Pack Abs From Scratch - Turn Flab Into Muscle

Starting out to get six pack abs from scratch is not always easy. In fact, it can be extremely daunting and intimidating if you don't have the right know-how. So anyway, I've put together a few tips for newbies which should save you a heap of time and frustration and painfully wasted workouts:

Tip 1: Work out your number 1 goal, and stick to it. It's always easier to stay motivated when you have clear goals. If you can nut out just 1 goal then GREAT. The clearer and more specific the goal, the better - you want to know why you are doing what you're doing after all. I definitely recommend writing this down - even if you're not a fan of writing. Just jot it down clearly on a piece of paper - even if you throw the paper out, you will still get a clear image of what you want from this exercise.

Tip 2: Most of the time you want to turn fat into muscle. This is a common "sub-goal" of most larger "main" fitness goals. So know that you are aiming to a) Burn off the flab and b) grow your muscle. Learn what to eat and stimulate your metabolism to do this for you at all times.

Tip 3: Your metabolism is like your very own fitness junkie - if you treat him right. Learn the tricks that speed up your BMR without damaging your body in the process (it's called health and fitness for a reason).

Tip 4: Stick with whatever it is you're starting for at least 2 weeks - getting past the initial pain of starting six pack abs training is half the battle! Know that if you can continue through the first 2 weeks, you are 50% of the way there.

Tip 5: Don't listen to everyone and anyone - get yourself a circle of people you trust with health and fitness issues. If you want to get six pack abs, then find someone who knows how to get six pack abs and do what they say (as long as it's not ridiculous - there are a lot of gimmicks out there!).
